Truck wraps are a cheap and efficient manner of advertising a company's product. By either painting the vehicle partially or completely, the company advertises its products in a new and flashy manner which will catch the attention and imagination of many potential customers. A cheaper alternative to painting the vehicle is to coat it in a vinyl wrap which is quick to apply and easy to remove.

Truck wraps come in different styles and designs can be as limitless as the imagination. New types of vinyl material have been produced which stick to the vehicle when made wet and can be peeled off without damaging the vehicle. The edges of the wrap are sealed in with edge seals in pen form or laminating strips. Because of the ease of use and application, these truck wraps can be removed and replaced to suit a design without causing a mess.

A company may employ a third party firm which specializes in truck wraps or they may do the process themselves. They are so versatile, that they can be used for both commercial and non commercial purposes as well. These wraps are used on trucks, buses, racing cars and other vehicles. Sometimes, people who want their car to stand out also use these wraps. When such a cover is placed on the vehicle, there is always a chance of poor visibility. However, this depends upon the design and most companies do make enough space within the design to ensure that your sight is not taken away from the design.

It is recommended that before applying truck wraps, the vehicle must be washed and dried thoroughly. It is best to avoid using window cleaning solutions as some of them contain properties which react to the adhesive in the wraps and cause them difficult to stick. The time it takes for a job to be completed depends upon the size of the vehicle and the graphics.

Most of the companies who make use of truck wraps are experienced and will do a fine job without an issue. There has been a new type of vinyl created which has glass beads embedded within it. It does not allow small air pockets to be formed and can only be fused to the vehicle by using a heat gun or torch. Thus, because it does not stick to the vehicle immediately, it can be shifted around for a better fit or cut into smaller pieces to fit difficult areas.
